Is Kennack Sands dog friendly?

Dogs are allowed on the east beach at Kennack Sands all year round. However, restrictions apply on the west beach from Easter Day to 1st October, when dogs are only permitted before 7 am and after 7 pm.

Surfing at Kennack Sands

Kennack Sands is a popular surfing destination, especially suitable for beginners and intermediates. The beach is relatively safe, with consistent surf throughout the year, providing a great environment for learners.

There’s a surf school on site, offering lessons and equipment hire. The best surf occurs with a southeast wind, and both left and right-hand waves can be ridden. However, it’s important to heed lifeguard warnings and local advice as the sea can get rough, particularly during winter.
